WikiMatch Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how WikiMatch collects, uses, and protects information when you use the app and related web pages.

Information we collect
WikiMatch may collect information needed to operate gameplay features, including room information, multiplayer state, game history, player progress, click counts, stats, and glossary bookmarks. WikiMatch may also collect device identifiers, app diagnostics, and product interaction events for analytics and reliability.
Firebase and Firestore
WikiMatch uses Firebase services, including Cloud Firestore, to support app functionality such as multiplayer rooms, real-time game state, synced history, stats, and glossary data. Data stored in Firestore is used to provide and maintain these app features.
Analytics
WikiMatch uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand general app usage and improve performance and features. Analytics data is used in an aggregated or anonymous manner and is not used by WikiMatch to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
How we use information
We use information to provide gameplay, create and join rooms, sync multiplayer state, store game history and glossary bookmarks, calculate stats, diagnose issues, improve the app, and respond to support requests.
Wikipedia and Wikimedia APIs
WikiMatch retrieves Wikipedia content through Wikimedia APIs. When Wikipedia content is loaded, requests may be made to Wikimedia services. Wikipedia content and availability are controlled by Wikimedia projects, not by WikiMatch.
Local device storage
WikiMatch may store preferences or small pieces of app state on your device using local storage mechanisms such as Apple's UserDefaults.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may process information through service providers such as Firebase, Firestore, Google Analytics for Firebase, and Wikimedia APIs as needed to operate, analyze, and improve WikiMatch.
Children's privacy
WikiMatch is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect directly identifying personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has provided personal information to WikiMatch, contact us so we can review the request.
Your choices
You can stop using the app at any time. You may also contact us with privacy questions or requests related to information associated with your use of WikiMatch.
